Global Warming, Anybody?
Of the 21 New Year's Eves I've lived through, this one was the warmest, and not by a little. It was positively nice out.
Now that "Hitler" has started posting comments on the blog, it's probably time for me to get back to work---though I have honestly needed every minute of this break. I'm not going to be fully recovered from last semester until after graduation, and I mean ours, not the current senior class's.
Unfortunately, taking two weeks off has created a massive backlog of stuff to talk about that might not even be germane anymore. I'll try my best, starting in the morning.
One final thought about 2004: Good riddance! Despite starting the blog and beginning to get my name in print, I can't remember a calendar year as severely disappointing personally, professionally, and globally, as the one just gone by. It will not be missed. My New Year's was indeed happy, by virtue alone of it being a new year---and also because I got to see a belly dancer swallow a sword (which is a story for another time, and not btw, I promise, a euphemism for anything).
