The Forever Pope

I'm pretty sure we have the technology to keep someone's heart beating indefinitely even if everything else is destroyed, and if you put that sort of science in the hands of Opus Dei fanatics, it's conceivable that John Paul II will be transformed into a kind of undead monument---like Lenin or Mao in a perpetual wake except with partially functioning organs.
