David Kurtz at TPM links to a report on the Bush DOJ's of history of stonewalling congressional inquiries, and its present efforts to train other departments in the executive branch to do likewise. What is to be done? How about: subpoena all relevant officials and documents, and when and if they do not comply, hold them in contempt of congress and begin to subject them to fines, jail time, and/or impeachment proceedings. Checks and balances, etc etc. These things are not so complicated.
