A Challenge

Today's blogging will, if I have any discipline, remain entirely apolitical. This site has now reached over 300 posts since I started it in mid-June, and while it presents a partial array of my interests, it has not, at least not yet, reflected my real priorities. Yes, I'm going to support the Democratic ticket this fall, and the weblogging medium, of which I'm now a part, is more concerned with this election than with any other issue. But real life begins, to paraphrase Marx, where the interest that is political in a purely partisan way ends. Let's get started.
