Alan Keyes, getting to the bottom of things:
It seems to me that our first step was to marry the women to the government, and now our second step will be to surrender the children to the government, and our third step will be to surrender our freedom to the government because we won't have any left.Keyes is now one of two finalists in the Illinois Republicans' attempt not to let Barack Obama win unopposed. Apparently they'd rather give Obama a sacrificial lamb, and increase Democratic voter turnout in the process.
Whether it's in welfare reform or in our educational system as we drive from the curriculum, this sex education curriculum that is actually teaching our children sexual irresponsibility, and destroying their ability to make and meet their commitments in married life.
I think that it's time that we establish, as the number one priority and objective of everything that we do in this society, the re-establishment of the two-parent marriage-based family. Its destruction is at the root of all our problems. Its re-establishment will be the root of all our solutions.
I think it will be Keyes on the ballot. Why? Because this is the alternative:
In front of her staff, Andrea Grubb Barthwell made repeated comments about the sexual orientation of a staff member and used a kaleidoscope to make sexually offensive gestures, according to the findings of a March 19, 2003, "hostile workplace memorandum" prepared by drug policy office staff. The Associated Press obtained the memorandum.
