Any thoughts on why Cornerites do these sorts of things? They obviously have a staff e-mail list of some kind [but maybe that kind of posting on their list would be considered an inbox-clogging netiquette violation--F]. WTF?

Daniel, does anything verging on self-parody surprise you from the Corner folks? Between the pop culture illiteracy, the philosophical shallowness, and the follow-Bush-off-the-cliff predictability, they have, against all odds, made the blog a bigger joke than the magazine. People who feel the need to use asterisks for the word "ass" and refer to a breast as a "you-know-what" just operate in a different world.
Incidentally, that post from Jonah had the most depth of anything he's posted since his analysis of Homer Simpson's "No TV and no beer make Homer crazy" thesis.
