O'Reilly Is An Asshole Watch
Well, apparently, Fox News archives O'Reilly's "Ranting Points Memos." My bad for not linking sooner. I guess I sort of assumed they'd want to destroy the paper trail on that one, in case the big guy says something he can be made to regret (which is actually the case every night; too bad his targets either don't care or are huge pussies).
O'Reilly has decided that a state of war exists between Fox News Channel and the New York Times, and while I'm not exactly an enthusiastic supporter of the Times, you've got to be rooting for them on this one. All I'm going to reprint is O'Reilly's challenge:
So enough's enough. And I am issuing this challenge directly to "The New York Times." I will debate any "Times" editor or columnist on the Charlie Rose PBS program. I talked with Mr. Rose this morning. He's happy to moderate such an event. So I'm calling these sleazy guys out. We'll let you know what happens. Do you think they'll show up? Yes, sure...I'm going to be sorely disappointed if nobody takes this challenge up. There's got to be at least one editor or columnist at the Times who's got the backbone and motivation to expose O'Reilly as a lying, bullying fraud on national television, to his face. If nobody at the Times will do it, I suggest David Cole. If he won't do it, then I volunteer.
