This Is How You Know Bush Is A Contemptible Cynic

Unlike Rick Santorum, who at least has the balls to keep fighting to replace the US Constitution with the articles of the Council of Trent, Mr. Bush got wised up to the fact that he was on the losing side of the FMA argument and backed down a bit.

Here's a nice sentiment: "What they do in the privacy of their house, consenting adults should be able to do," Mr. Bush said during a campaign stop in Pennsylvania on Friday.

That's not the Santorum position by the way. Also, unless I've missed something, Bush can't even bring himself to use the words "gay," "lesbian," or "homosexual." They're just some abstract "they," as if his own running mate's daughter weren't one of "them."

Oh and by the way, remember that 50-48 scoreline? Well the two non-votes were Kerry and Edwards, who were out on lunch break. So the effective tally is 52-48.
