Olympics

Understand that I'm as jaded and cynical about the Olympics as your next blue-state cosmopolitan secular humanist, but I have to say that I was moved by the ovation that the United States and Iraqi delegations received. And nauseated by the revelation that the Iranian judo champion has withdrawn from the games because he was slated to wrestle an Israeli.

If I watch any of it, OTOH, it will be out of sheer boredom.
