Frowning Thread
I think we pick up NH and the rest of the Gore states. Kerry's shot in Ohio can't be any better than 40% at this point. So it looks pretty bad. There is still the legal option...the popular vote numbers look bad, and we're going to need them to turn around.
If I had to bet right now, Bush 274, Kerry 264. I might as well be honest.
If there's any upshot to this election, it's that it might kill off the practice and profession of exit polling.
UPDATE: A bit of good news about Ohio. And Craig Crawford on MSNBC is giving further reasons to hope.
ANOTHER UPDATE: Fox called Ohio for Bush. That looks nakedly partisan.
ANOTHER UPDATE: The Bush lead in Ohio is shrinking. Brit Hume is backtracking. Kerry got NH. 'Bout time.
ANOTHER UPDATE: Bush is now ahead in Iowa. New Mexico looks out of contention. The popular vote looks like a Bush lock, even with California coming in. I think we lose.
