I'll have a lot more to say about where Democrats and liberals go from here over the next few days. For now I'll leave it at this; early last night, I was hoping for a Daschle defeat so that a senator from a solidly blue state could lead an aggressive senatorial caucus, as Daschle could not, since the people of South Dakota are all horseshit.

But the early indications are that Harry Reid (D-NV) will now be minority leader. Stupid, stupid, stupid.
