Kudos to Andrew Sullivan for instituting this. The worst way to react to hysterical banshees like Coulter and Malkin is to get hysterical in turn. Call them out for what they're doing, i.e. trading on "cliche-ridden, playground insults," and just ignore from then on.

OTOH, if you must respond substantively, be calm and forensic about it.
