Wierd

I don't mean to be a mongerer of baseless rumors, but something is most definitely up with George Bush. First there's the mystery of the bulge (which reappeared last night). Underlying that is the very pertinent question of just what the hell happened to Bush's speaking skills. (Try a google search of "bush AND pre-senile dementia." I'm not convinced, but it's not quite unconvincing either.) Now the left blogosphere is floating the rumor that Bush has suffered something like a stroke.

Again, I'm not endorsing these rumors. And it's simply facile for people untrained as physicians to attempt diagnoses from their armchairs. Nevertheless, I just saw a Bush rally on C-SPAN. His speech was slurred almost beyond recognition. He sounded punch-drunk. Maybe it was just exhaustion. But I don't get it.
