Hitchens For Neither

So we have a resolution to this mini-controversy. Christopher Hitchens is for neither presidential candidate. He's either exactly right or copping out [that statement is either exactly right or a meta-cop-out--ed.].

I was struck by this clarifying line: "It's unwise and indecent for Republicans to equate Kerry with capitulation." Really? So that, presumably, is a repudiation of this vile innuendo:

But unless he conclusively repudiates the obvious defeatists in his own party (and maybe even his own family), we shall be able to say that John Kerry's campaign is a distraction from the fight against al-Qaida.

Nice to see Hitchens rejoining the decency-based community.
