A Bleg
This past week, my total number of unique hits since starting the blog back in late June topped 15,000. There have been a bunch of spikes, thanks to some very friendly links from Eric Muller, Dave Neiwert, and Matt Welch (who also managed to win me over a female devotee--hi Annie!---and let's face it, the blogosphere seems to have something of a digital glass ceiling). I'm ecstatic about this. Even when the traffic brings unintended and somewhat unwanted attention, such as interviews with ABC News and the Daily Telegraph about adderall on campuses (I'm on it right now, incidentally, and no, I never meant to be a poster boy for grey-market prescription drug use).
Usually I don't ask readers to do much of anything besides follow up on links. I'm going to make an exception tonight. Traffic is a great thing; one comment makes me happier than about a hundred hits though. To comment, just click the comments bar at the bottom of the post. There's no way that my views are garnering unanimous agreement; I'm an apostate of both the left and right. All right, I'm blegging. You can even comment on how douchebaggy it is to use blogspeak words like bleg.

I heart finnegan.
You f'd up the use/mention distinction of bleg vs. "bleg." Douchebag.
How about that Johan? Now we're talking great guy.
Whereas "douchebag" (I know I asked for it) capitalized on early morning typographical carelessness. I'm not that ignant. Odds are that "douchebag" is a Yale philosophy major that I know, but the two darkhorses are a Yalie-philosophizer that just wandered in or a maybe a high school classmate who's very interested in use vs. mention. Either way, I like to know who I'm talking to, so leave a name next time, k?
Dan-
You probably know this already, but I think this is a really fantastic blog. You don't get a lot of really deep thinking on blogs, and we try to do some over at BB, but you provide it in truckloads. (The deconstruction of Malkin? Genius!)
Anyway, yeah. Just a little masturbatory praise for you. Well done.

You're too kind.
