Blog-On-Blog-Action
Andrew Sullivan and Glenn Reynolds are having what the Poor Man calls a "nerd fight."
Sullivan: Yes, if you read Instapundit, you will believe that everything is going well, or at least well enough that worries are simply a function of ignorance or spin.
Reynolds: Andrew Sullivan seems to regard these as "the same old arguments" -- but he hasn't refuted them. Nor can he.
Reynolds: Andrew's excitability is part of his charm, of course, but I think that in wartime, patience is perhaps a greater virtue.
Sullivan: Glenn says he expected much worse. But did he expect no WMDs? Did he expect Colin Powell's U.N. speech to be revealed as a tissue of untruths? Did he expect Abu Ghraib? Has Glenn ever fully come to terms with any of that?
I can't quite be impartial, since Sullivan is one of my blogging heroes, whereas Reynolds is (objectively speaking, of course) a mendacious prick. If it ever comes to fisticuffs, as I sort of hope it will, the smart money is on this guy to flatten this guy.
